USAIRA Summer Camp At Santa Clara University.

Join Santa Clara University Head Rugby Coach, Paul Keeler, Santa Barbara Rugby Academy Head Coach Kevin Battle and Lindenwoood University Head Coach J.D. Stephenson for an incredible rugby experience this summer in California. Campers reside in university dorms and train on the Santa Clara rugby fields.

The USAIRA Rugby Camp at Santa Clara offers a four-day, three-night camp experience directed by a nationally recognized staff. The overnight camp includes key fundamental drills, high performance education modules, competitive match play, all meals, housing, and evening group activities. Whether you’re new to the sport or looking to advance your existing skill set, this program can provide the tools to improve your abilities on the rugby pitch.

  • Played in the Scottish Hydro Premiership League in 2009

Kevin Battle

Head Coach, Santa Barbara City College

  • Commissioner at D1A Rugby
  • Director of Rugby at UC Santa Barbara (2000-2012)
  • Lead Gauchos to 5 Sweet 16 and 3 Elite 8 appearances
  • Lead Gauchos to the 2011 National Championship Game
  • Selector for Collegiate All-Americans
  • Competitions Director, US Rugby 7’s
  • Played in Collegiate National Championship

We provide our young players with an environment in which they can grow, express themselves both personally and professionally and realize their dream of playing collegiate and International Rugby. 

At USAIRA, we value discipline, attitude, commitment, integrity, and honesty as highly as we do rugby ability. We have assembled an experienced team of coaches, technical experts and support staff who all specialize in player development. 

In the program, particular focus is paid to core skills and game awareness but also includes physiology, sports psychology, nutrition and personal development.
